Question by Brett =): What foreign language should an engineering student learn?

I am a sophomore mechanical engineering student. I've recently decided that I want to triple major and get degrees in international relations and a foreign language. However, I cannot decide on which language to major in. I took four years of Spanish in high school so that might be an easier choice. On the other hand, I'm not sure how useful the Spanish language will be in the engineering field. Any suggestions?

I definitely think that Spanish would be the most valuable language to know in the long run, considering the growing population of people in the US who speak Spanish. I cannot see it being put to much use in the engineering field, but it really depends on if the job you acquire involves a lot of human communication....
