What is the cause of most paranormal activity like ghosts haunting a house?

Okay, I know I will get some silly answers like Imagination but I want honest serious answers.Why do ghosts hang around? Is it due to violent or unexpected deaths?

Not necessarily. Common belief's in ghosts is fueled by idea's that the essence of a deceased person may still be within the vicinity. This essense/Entity/Ghost (Lets call it entity) may or may not be here for a bad reason, but rather, a good one. Usually its to do with unfinished business. an example of a bad reason could be Revenge. An example of a good reason could be that maybe the entity, in life, only said something bad to a family member before it died and it regrets that. So we covered the unfinished business part. Another reason is depression, and basic negative attitudes and feelings in human emotions. The entity could be bad, I.E a demon, and it stalks its human prey and feeds of negative emotions, living off of it and making the entity ever stronger. There are also many, many, MANY other possibilities, but since entities most likely reside in a parallel universe or planar realm, or just be it that it might not be a necessarily physical embodiment or manifest makes it extremely difficult to contact and ask these beings in person what bussiness they have with us. Many of these entities dont cross over (Go into the light) meaning they are still here for reasons they cannot physically and unfortunetly tell us. Its sad bussiness. Some means of contacting these enetities would be using a seance, where a group of people hold hands and gather around a table whilst one attempts to talk and contact the spirit. Another could be an ouiija board (Pronounced Wee-Jee) Which is where there is a piece of cardboard riddeled with features ranging from letters (Alphabetical, not hello how are you type of letter) to spell out names and YES and NO to attempt to answer questions By using a cup which the entity moves onto these features whilst practitioners place their fingertips upon its base (The cup is faced base-end-upwards.) To be fair, i would definately NOT reccomend doing these activities unless under supervision of a psychic, demonologist or a medium. You dont want to meddle with things that shouldnt. However, i hope this guide answers your questions. P.S, not all ghosts are necassarily bad, some are friendly and long for human companianship once more.
