Question by Kim N: How can I find the value of vintage knitting needles and crochet hooks? Anyone know of Bucilla needles?

I am liquidating my 96 year old grandmothers knitting and crochet items, mostly hooks and needles and would like to learn how to tell the value of them. I have several Bucilla needles and hooks and cannot find them anywhere to compare.

I have to say that everyone's old granny has them tucked away somewhere. I have been to many fairs and events where they sit looking miserable as people pass them by, unless: they are hallmarked silver, old ivory, and fancy designs in pewter/bronze and so on, and even then it will be a small number of specialist collectors. Sorry, I haven't heard of Bucilla needles.
